Ladan's Smoothie Recipe

A fantastic all round energy booster, this recipe is full of wholesome goodness which I use most days in conjunction with my training.

SMOOTHIE2.jpgIt contains all the nutrition you need in a meal. Also, a great shake to have pre work-out, or to take post work-out to help replenish and recovery, not to mention the benefits and effects on your digestion and skin.

Useful Tips...

If you are training most days and need energy and recovery, then as well as the smoothie, at night I take ZMA,( zinc, b6 and magnesium).
Usually I take more magnesium if I have really gone mad with the training (600mg). By the way ladies, ZMA with EFAS (essential fatty acids) are very helpful for PMT symptoms. I find that taking these supplements along with the smoothie helps to balance out your hormones and give you less sugar cravings.

Also whilst I have this shake, if it is after a session, then I take BCAA (branch chain amino acids), 1000mgs of vitamin C and drink tons of water before during and after training.

Well I hope that this has been useful. Please let me know how you are getting on with this and if you have any questions.

ENJOY YOUR SMOOTHIE.........
